Dear members,

Due to the G20 the committee have decided to move the Annual General Meeting to Sunday November 30th, and it will now coincide with Brisbears Christmas Picnic.

The committee believe that postponing the AGM will give our members more of an opportunity to attend. Members have shown concern that there may be major delays due to road closures and lock downs, and this may make it too difficult for some to attend. Other members have told the committee that they wanted to attend but they will be leaving for the weekend of G20.

This is an opportunity to have your say, ask questions about the future and to vote for your committee for the year ahead.

Please join us at 11am on November 30th for the ‘Bearlections’ (AGM) followed by a free BBQ picnic lunch and some fun and games. We are finalising arrangements for the venue, and will post a further notice in the coming week.

On the 15th of November we will still have our regular Bear night with the members draw, raffles, Meet Mr bear QLD, and keeping us dancing all night is Dj Mikey B. We hope to see as many of our members there that can make it.

We thank you for your understanding, and apologise for any inconvenience if you have already made plans to attend the AGM on the 15th. We believe that the decision made is in the best interests of the majority of our members.
